Workout

Workout today was 3-3-3-3-3-3-3 sets of front squats. I was doing 40 kilos. And I rode to and from work. We were going to do the stairs but didn't.

I was in a real fitness funk last week and didn't work out at all. I went to CrossFit on Wednesday and still was just not feeling it. But today I felt like the funk had lifted...

And this might be why! My amazing new shoes!

They are so light! As soon as I put them on, I was like, "why was I not wearing these before!!!". I love them...

Bye bye old shoes!

The other thing in health news is that I've now gone Paleo. In a nutshell, you can only eat what humans were able to eat in paleolithic time. It's also known as the Cave(wo)man diet. It's going really well. I'm trying to keep my carb intake to 50g - 100g per day.

But it's shocking the amount of sugar in things. As you probably know, sugar is a carbohydrate. I was drinking juice the other morning, and I knew there was a lot of sugar in fruit but for some reason this was a shock. In this little bottle of juice...

...there was 40.3g of sugar!!! As you can see, I was already half way through so I finished it and it was so yummy (I love juice) but no more til I lose this fat!

Workout

Crossfit

Deadlift
5-5-5-5-5

Finisher, 7 Min Amrap
10 Strict Pull-ups
30 Double Unders

Got up to 55kgs on the deadlifts. Was about the heaviest I could lift without the bar slipping out of my hands. Only got 2 rounds out on the finisher, can't do Double Unders but attempts were counted.
I tells ya, I am dog tired...

Workout

No Crossfit today. I completed the second session on my 5K Runner app. I am terrible at running and this is a big fitness goal! Would love to be able to run 5k!

And my lovely puppy came along!

Workout

Crossfit

"Jack"
20 Min AMRAP
Push press, 10 reps - 15kgs
10 KB Swings - 12kgs
10 Box jumps - 12 inch

I completed 7 rounds.
I could have gone heavier with my Kettlebell, to 16 kilos and I think I could have gone up on my box jump, probably 20 inch. I was tired but not exhausted after.
I know I definitely could have done the 16 kilo KB, I have before, just being lazy. Going up in the box jump just seems intimidating. It's a big increment!
Maybe it was for the best I didn't go up, I fell and scraped my shin on one of the box jumps. No one saw....shame!
