Workout

Workout today was 3-3-3-3-3-3-3 sets of front squats. I was doing 40 kilos. And I rode to and from work. We were going to do the stairs but didn't.

I was in a real fitness funk last week and didn't work out at all. I went to CrossFit on Wednesday and still was just not feeling it. But today I felt like the funk had lifted...

And this might be why! My amazing new shoes!


They are so light! As soon as I put them on, I was like, "why was I not wearing these before!!!". I love them...

Bye bye old shoes!



The other thing in health news is that I've now gone Paleo. In a nutshell, you can only eat what humans were able to eat in paleolithic time. It's also known as the Cave(wo)man diet. It's going really well. I'm trying to keep my carb intake to 50g - 100g per day.

 But it's shocking the amount of sugar in things. As you probably know, sugar is a carbohydrate. I was drinking juice the other morning, and I knew there was a lot of sugar in fruit but for some reason this was a shock. In this little bottle of juice...


...there was 40.3g of sugar!!! As you can see, I was already half way through so I finished it and it was so yummy (I love juice) but no more til I lose this fat!

  1. Fruit and juice does have a lot of sugar, it's natural sugar and a little is okay for you! :) I limit myself to a glass of juice a day.

    I just read your Lite n Easy post too, just be careful of adding too much salt! Have you checked the sodium levels in the meals already? Too much sodium can cause high blood pressure, and also water retention (and bloating!)
